Hornsby Bahá’í Community
Hornsby Baha’i Community was formally recognised in the Hornsby Shire in 1967 when the first Local Spiritual Assembly was formed. Bahá’ís believe in Unity of Mankind and work toward the establishing World Peace and this Unity by rendering service to the whole community, individually and also as the Baha’i community.
Some of the Principles of the Baha’i Faith are;
- Oneness of God
- Oneness of religion
- Oneness of humanity
- Independent investigation of truth
- Equality of men and women
- Elimination of all forms of prejudice
- Universal peace upheld by a world government
- Harmony of science and religion
- Universal compulsory education
- A universal auxiliary language
- Addressing the extremes of wealth and poverty
